Martial Arts Tree of Life journaling "values and growth" portion for our children's program
Effective children’s programs require structure and planning in how they move forward incrementally building levels of success and expectations. For us, our simple graphic of our “Martial Arts Tree of Life” has been a very useful visual aid in our curriculum for younger and older children. We also use a self-journaling program helping them to literally reference their own successes over the year too!
During home-based workouts in our martial arts and fitness program, children can do all the same hard training, exercise and practice from home online in our online program. Children are very quick to try bodyweight exercises and use things like bookbags as weights in plyometrics and calisthenics drills to build speed, stamina and power. In this clip, children lift their bookbags simulating an old Kung Fu “plucking” finger strength drill.
